I’m seeing more of these lately — three RON-only asks in the last 48 hours from two different signing services — each requiring biometric ID and liveness checks on NotaryHub. Are lenders pivoting for year-end, or is this the new baseline where you’re?
Seeing the same ‘three RON-only in 48 hours’ pattern — my fix is a pre-session text with NotaryHub prep: tell them to sit in good light, have the ID flat, and use Chrome so the biometric + liveness passes on the first try. Small caveat: some lenders’ portals still glitch on Safari, and I’ve been getting a $15 bump approved when SS mandates RON-only by noting the extra ID steps. If your two services push back on a bump, framing it as reduced reschedules has worked for me.
I’m on NotaryHub too and started dropping the built-in device test in the invite; if the “biometric ID and liveness checks” stumble, I switch the signer to their phone camera mid-session and it almost always passes. With three RON-only in 48 hours, I pad a 5‑minute buffer for one retry. @NotaryHub has been solid, but a couple lenders still insist on KBA-first workflows, so I keep a quick KBA walkthrough ready as a backup.
Had a couple this week where liveness kept failing until the signer switched their iPhone camera to 1080p/30fps and disabled VPN; I added that tip to my invite and a 5‑minute buffer to rerun checks. Helps a lot, but rural Wi‑Fi still sinks a few. Curious if anyone has asked @NotaryHub to relax blocks or if the stricter “biometric ID and liveness checks” is the new normal.
