DocuSign on paper is a thing now

And at a 7:15 p.m. refi, the borrower asked if I could ‘DocuSign’ the 142-page stack with his Apple Pencil — seeing more of that request lately, even when the order screams ‘blue ink only’ in bold. Anyone else translating ‘DocuSign’ into ‘please use the pen’ at the kitchen table?

Same thing at 7:15 p.m. refis — now I text ahead: “wet signatures, ‘blue ink only,’ no tablets,” and bring a fat blue gel pen I call the analog DocuSign. If they still wave an Apple Pencil, I show the order and the lender’s email and have them initial a quick note that e-sign was requested but wet-ink performed per instructions. Cuts the debate at the kitchen table.
