Connecting talent to opportunity

I’ve been thinking a lot about how the tech industry tends to favor certain backgrounds or connections. Who else has seen this? It’s fascinating how often a personal link can open doors, but it also raises the question of accessibility. Have any of you found success in building networks that aren’t focused on traditional pathways?

It’s true that having the right connections can feel like using a secret key to unlock doors in tech. I’ve found that joining local meetups and online groups can level the playing field a bit, though. Have you tried connecting with others in these spaces?
