Clocked an oath + jurat in 58 seconds at 7:12 a.m. in a Starbucks lot by pre-setting the seal, tabbing the certificate page, and lining up the ID before the pen hit paper. Anyone cracked sub-45 without bending rules, or am I the only one practice-timing in the car?
Did sub-45 once by pre-filling venue/date and sticking a bright tab on the signature line; the real cheat code was a laminated oath card so I don’t fumble wording. Your “pre-setting the seal” at 7:12 a.m; is clutch, but I wouldn’t start the clock until the ID check’s done. @OP are you timing from first word of the oath or first pen stroke?
I’ve shaved to 42 with a rigid clipboard and a binder-clip “stop” that drops the signature line right under the pen, and I run a tight two-line oath I can deliver while positioning the stamp — pure NASCAR pit stop vibes. Small caveat: I still pause for the audible “yes” before any ink touches paper. @isaac.wea8026 do you use anything to keep the seal oriented, or are you free-spinning it each time?
